Are you a student in grades 8 and up who is looking for a weekend part-time job? A Southwick resident is looking for some students to do outside landscaping and farm work. Duties include clearing brush, building stone walls, and landscaping property. The work involves physical labor, but you have the opportunity to work all year long with flexible hours, and the salary is negotiable. Are you over 16, love dogs, and looking for a part-time job? Paws 'R' Us in the Grist Mill Plaza in Southwick has an immediate opening for a groomer assistant. SRS Performing Arts is pleased to announce auditions for its Fall Play: 12 Angry Jurors Auditions will be held after school in the Auditorium on Tuesday, Sept 17, with callbacks on Friday, Sept 20. For information, contact Ms. Grunwald in Room 416 or Mr. Bladyka in Room 506.
Any student that needs a parking spot can stop in the main office during their lunch period to purchase one. The cost is $50.00, cash or check made payable to SRS.
Westfield-West Springfield Lodge of Elks will be holding an essay contest for students in grades 5-8. This year’s essay theme is “What Patriotism means to me”. Essay deadline is December 15, 2024. An information packet, including an essay cover sheet can be picked up in the main office.
Attention Class of 2027! The sophomore class is holding a dues drive through September. Any student who has paid their class dues in full by September 30, will be entered into a raffle to win a free ticket to the Homecoming Dance on November 2! Dues are $25 per year. Contact Cigal, Grant or your class officers for more information.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: We will be hosting PSAT’s on Wednesday, October 16th, starting at 7:35 a.m. The cost is $18. Checks can be made out to SRS or exact cash only. Sign-ups are in the counseling office.
